About Chris

Hi, I’m Chris Griffiths, a Google AdWords Consultant and Direct Response Advertising Specialist. I grew up during the golden era of British advertising in the late ‘70s and remember being fascinated by ads and what makes them work. When my first boss recommended I read “Scientific Advertising” by Claude Hopkins I was hooked.

Ten years in London ad agencies followed, working on household name brands like Brillo, Sun Alliance, Ford, Unilever, Parker Pens, Polaroid, TSB, Hambro and Penguin before setting up my own marketing consultancy in 1992.

When Google AdWords was unveiled in 2002, I immediately saw its potential as a lead generation and sales tool. Over the ensuing years I have successfully deployed AdWords for many of our clients across the financial, insurance, motoring, home interest, building, travel and leisure sectors.

I am results driven, provide a personal service and believe in building long-term client partnerships – the longest so far is 21 years! Working closely with owner/managers I aim to make a genuine contribution to their business growth by increasing the flow of qualified visitors and converting them to leads and customers, cost-effectively.

One of the joys of Direct Response Advertising is that many of the skills and techniques which work so well on TV, in the press and direct mail transfer well to the internet. I have frequently been asked to advise on client websites and design conversion optimised landing pages as part of my AdWords consultancy.

Now based in Sevenoaks, I work alongside a prominent regional media planning and buying agency from where I can keep up to speed with developments in the online media space.

I am Google Certified and hold a Degree in Economics & Econometrics from the University of York.
